What to expect at the workshop
The workshop is held in the Grand Hall. (please park in lot D.) The atmosphere is casual. Come as you are -- ready to learn. From 6:00-6:30pm, people sign-in, greet one another and begin to informally network. Others may practice their interview skills, or individual coaching can be arranged from any one of our volunteer team leaders. The classroom is set up with tables for eight, so sit where you like. At 6:30pm, we begin 2 1/2 hours of class time with an interactive lecture, which includes fun exercises and small group work aimed at one of several job seeker tools. There is a half-time break, too.
Materials for the workshop are $40 and include a 200-page job seeker manual and the book, “Finding A Job God’s Way" written by President and Co-founder of Career Solutions, David Rawles. The manual has all the PowerPoint slides, sample resumés and letters, worksheets, prayers, reference resources, inspirational stories and more.
Testimonial
"I can't say enough good things about the Career Solutions program. I am definitely recommending it to people. Even if someone is not presently seeking a job/career change, it is helpful to understand our job choices and the effect they have on our life.
While the name and much of its content certainly deals with 'Finding a Job God's Way', I believe it is going to have an impact on people's lives in ways we can't even know yet. I know it has already made a difference in mine.
I had seen this program on the internet and really did not know what it was all about. I am so grateful that Crossroads chose to present it. It will be helpful to our church family members, but also can be such a wonderful outreach program for our community."
Thanks again, Nancy
