Flag Football


Crossroads’ Flag Football program creates opportunities for kids to learn the basic
fundamentals of football, teamwork and sportsmanship as well as learn principles
that will help them through life.

Season Starts

  • Practices begin: the week of Monday, 8/22/11

  • First Game: Saturday, 9/10/11

  • Final Game: Friday, 10/28/11

  • Awards Celebration: Thursday, 11/3/11


Evaluation Days: Saturday, 8/6/11

  • Kindergarten      Boys/Girls, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

  • 1st – 3rd      Grade Boys/Girls, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

  • 4th – 6th      Grade Boys/Girls, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.



Make-Up Evaluations: Tuesday, 8/9/11

  • 6:00 p.m.      – 7:30 p.m.


All players must attend an evaluation. This is NOT A TRYOUT. A child’s performance will not alter their playing time. 

Where will the practices and games be held?
 All Flag Football evaluations, practices and games will be held at Crossroads. The fields are located next to the tennis courts by the SportCenter.
 
How much does it cost?
 The cost is $70.00, and early registration begins Sunday 6/19/11. However, the price will increase by $10 after July 24th. The deadline to register for the 2011 flag football/cheerleading season is August 9th at the makeup evaluation.
 
Shorts are not covered in the registration fee, THEY ARE NOT REQUIRED but you have the option to purchase them for an additional $13.

How do I get signed up?
Brochures are located at all the informational Towers, Welcome Centers and check-in stations for Area X, Cross Street.  Also, you can download the forms online CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD.  Once you have completed the form turn it in with payment to any Welcome Center or the Church Office.  (Don’t forget, sizing and evaluations DO NOT need to be filled out when you turn in your registration.)
