Youth

DOULOS is Greek for bondservant. Jesus said in Matthew 20:27: “whoever wants to be first must be your bondservant”.

Our desire is that all youth who come through DOULOS Youth Ministries will become bondservants of Jesus Christ. That they will serve Christ because they deeply love their Savior, not because it's what they've been told to do or because of what they get out of it. (See Exodus 21).

Out of all the terms the apostle Paul could have chosen to describe himself he used the term doulos most. He gave himself as a bondservant of the gospel. Colossians 1:23b says: “This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a bondservant.”

Doulos is about bringing as many youth (grades 7-12) into a relationship with Jesus Christ as we possibly can, so that we may embody Daniel 12:3 where it says: “Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.”
